About SunRock Suris
We are a small farm that focused on fleece and genetics when we began in 2002, putting together a full Peruvian herd with emphasis on fine fleece with a smooth silky handle or a greasy feel and an abundance of luster. We researched bloodlines for several months, then looked for and purchased the best genetics we could find at farms where we could put our hands on the animals, note their conformation and feel their fiber. We also put a premium on disposition. We were fortunate that Washington State was one of the premier importation states of fine Accoyo genetics with breeders who have put an everlasting imprint on the alpaca of the United States. These breeders include Jack and Kelly Armstrong, owners of Latah Creek Alpacas, and Nola Graham who initially owned Pperuvian Torbio, Pperuvian Inca, Pperuvian Uribe, and Pperuvian Starbuck. These bloodlines, along with those of Pperuvian Bruxo are found abundantly in our herd – genetics that have proven to be the foundation of a remarkable herd of American alpaca. Our animals are genetically pure – we never have had a huyacca born on our farm. They have good vigor, are healthy and robust and have continued to produce fine fleeced, wonderfully lustered alpaca with good bone and conformation. Because we have a small herd, our animals are used to humans, being handled, dogs and kids. We have kept our prices low and specialize in after sale help and information. Please take a look at our females - if there are any that interest you, contact us and we can negotiate over their price, or if you are interested in more than one animal and would like to put together a package of animals, we can explore that as well. Or just contact us if you have questions or would like to arrange a farm visit.
